These terms govern your use of ottiebox.com and the OttieBox learning app. By using OttieBox, you agree to them. OttieBox is an educational product for adults. It is not financial advice.
OttieBox teaches the basics of investing and the markets through short lessons and a practice simulator that uses fake, simulated money. It is for learning only. OttieBox does not move money, hold your funds, or place any real trades.
OttieBox is not a financial advisor, broker, or dealer, and nothing in the product is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Figures used in lessons and games are illustrative examples chosen to teach a concept, not predictions or promises of any result. Investing involves risk, including the possible loss of money. The practice simulator uses simulated money and does not place real trades. Any decisions you make with real money are your own, and you should consider your own situation and, if needed, consult a licensed professional.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract where you live. OttieBox is a general-audience service for adults and is not directed to children. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity under it, and for giving accurate information.
Please do not misuse the service: no attempting to break, overload, or reverse-engineer it, no scraping, and no using it unlawfully or to infringe others' rights.
The lessons, content, software, and Ottie character are owned by OttieBox and provided for your personal, non-commercial learning use. You may not copy or redistribute them without permission.
OttieBox is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We do not warrant that the content is complete, accurate, or current, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, OttieBox and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any investment or trading losses, arising from your use of the product.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which OttieBox's operator is based, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be handled in the courts located there.
We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know. Continuing to use OttieBox after a change means you accept the updated terms.
